Meet Megan Schwab, Clinical Trainee
Hi, I’m Megan Schwab! I am a clinical trainee working towards licensure as an LPCC. I am currently working under supervision at North Country Counseling with Charline Bengtson, LMFT.

My Therapy Philosophy
Megan believes in a person-centered approach to therapy, meeting clients exactly where they are and fostering a safe, comfortable environment for open and honest conversation. Her laid-back, approachable style helps clients feel at ease while still encouraging genuine growth and meaningful progress. While sessions feel supportive and collaborative, Megan is not afraid to gently challenge clients when needed to help them make important changes. She views each client as capable of their own success and sees her role as a guide—walking alongside them as they build insight, resilience, and reach their full potential.
Megan is a clinical trainee who offers compassionate, client-centered care to individuals and families navigating life’s challenges. She specializes in working with foster care and adoption-related concerns, trauma, relationship issues, adjustment struggles, and symptoms of anxiety and depression. Megan strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at their own pace. She sees clients both via telehealth and in person at our Fairmont, Minnesota location, and currently has openings for evening appointments, making care more accessible for busy schedules.
