North Country Counseling is a growing mental health and wellness private practice focused on providing exceptional care to rural Minnesota through individual, family and couples therapy services.  Our providers live and work in rural areas, which allows us to understand the needs of our clients.  Our providers pride themselves on working collaboratively with clients and community providers to deliver the most comprehensive and personalized treatment to each of our clients.  NCC believes in the personal/ professional life balance.  We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the profession and bring that energy to life!  We have current opportunities for clinical trainees, licensed therapists, and mental health practitioners.  


What we want from you:

  • Provide individual, couples, family and/or group therapy services

  • Complete diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes and collaborative care documentation in a timely manner

  • Build rapport and strong therapeutic relationships with clients and those involved in their care

  • Ability to work to fill gaps in services for your clients

  • Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol

  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, and school staff as needed

  • Attend and participate in clinical consultations and trainings

  • Awareness of your limitations and weaknesses with a willingness to reach out to colleagues for consultations and guidance 

  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients

  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base

  • Proficient use of office technology (computers, email, e-fax, EHR)

  • Eagerness to learn and grow

  • Efficient organizational skills

  • Be an ethical practitioner


What is required from you:

  • Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and on track to obtain licensure in your designated field OR

  • Licensed Mental Health Professional with a valid state of Minnesota license - LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, LGSW, LICSW, LP, Psychiatrist, APRN 

  • Ability to pass a background check

NCC offers supervision for clinicians seeking licensure as LGSW, LICSW, LPC, LPCC and LMFT in the state of Minnesota and South Dakota.  Clinicians are encouraged to have an additional outside supervisor to enhance their learning experience by having additional perspectives guiding their supervision process.

We are looking for LMFTs, LAMFTs, LPCs, LPCCs, LGSW, LICSWs, APRNs, and LPs to join our growing team.
