Meet Felicia Swenson, LPCC Candidate

Hello! I'm Felicia Swenson, a clinical trainee working towards LPCC licensure. I have my Masters Degree in School Counseling and Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, and being outdoors in our beautiful Twin Ports area! 

My Therapy Philosophy

I believe trust and honest communication is the foundation of a therapeutic relationship. When human beings experience life stressors, or trauma it is not uncommon to feel disappointed. My goal is to help clients recognize healthy perceptions of themselves and build strong relationships with those around them so they are able to understand and live to their fullest potential.

I believe clients are their best experts. With that, I incorporate person-centered approaches as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I work with clients age 10+ and encourage self-discovery and personal growth through a supportive and encouraging therapeutic relationship.

Felicia is on a journey to become certified in ART therapy, specializing in trauma treatment, and looks forward to offering these valuable services soon. Additionally, she is undergoing specialized training in postpartum mental health, preparing to provide tailored support for individuals navigating the unique challenges of the postpartum period.
