Meet Jessica Spaulding, APRN, PMHNP-BC

My Therapy Philosophy

Hello! I am Jessica Spaulding, and I am a board certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner treating patients ages 18-99.

As a nurse practitioner in psychiatry, I have training in medication management and offer supportive therapy. I specialize in treating clients dealing with depression, anxiety, adult ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and many other mental health struggles. You can expect a thorough and informed evaluation, after which I will develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may include medication, talk therapy, holistic options or a combination of all when appropriate.

My aim is to help you cultivate mindfulness, insight and a desire for personal growth in all areas of your life. The goal is not to simply reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and depression, but to help you thrive in your personal and professional endeavors.

In addition to practical experience, I believe I have a unique ability to connect with individuals, a capacity to understand them, and the empathy to meet them where they are.  Patients can expect a genuine and warm approach, while also offering direct and honest input and care.

I became a nurse in 2007 and have worked in all areas of nursing, such as long-term care, medical-surgical, operating room, ICU, emergency care, and mental health.  I obtained my Master's of Science in Nursing in 2019 and have worked as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Pracitioner since then in community-based clinics.

As a patient, you can expect your initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. I have the pleasure of working alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians and am happy to collaborate and coordinate care with them when appropriate to meet the patient's needs.

When I am out of the office, you can find me taking walks, attending concerts, traveling, reading, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and at the lake.

“The practice of medicine is called practice because as providers, we are striving to find a solution, and that takes practice.”
