Meet  Kari Gritz, LADC, LPCC

Hello! I’m Kari Gritz- I love to cook and bake as well as do just about anything sporty that happens outdoors. There is something about nature and movement that is healing for the soul and body. It has been my pleasure to be the mother of 7(4 biological and 3 stepchildren).  My husband and I are now learning how to be empty nesters.

My Therapy Philosophy

In my youth and adult years, I have been heavily involved in my church working with youth, small groups and music. I am a lover of building connections and helping both young and old alike find a life that has meaning and purpose for them. Through many twists and turns, life brought me to go back to school at the young, old age of 39. I am living proof that it is never too late to start!

Since 2012, I have completed a BS in Community Psychology, a MS in Vocational Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Rehab and Addictions, become a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, hold a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor license, and am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor. Through this whole process I have prayed, shed tears and never for a moment doubted that this is the path that God has led me to walk. Helping people become their best selves is a joy that never grows old.

I will be offering counseling from a Christian perspective for anyone who feels that their growth and maturity is directly connected to the health of their relationship with God. However, I am comfortable in helping anyone from any culture, religion, orientation or nationality to work to achieve wellness in mind, body and spirit. My passion is to help people understand their own needs and do self-care with zero guilt or shame.
