COVID Office Safety Precautions

 

Due to the recent increases in COVID cases associated with the new variants, we are currently providing services via tele-health ONLY!

North Country Counseling is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and providers to help slow the spread of the coronavirus:

 

  • Your provider may opt to end session and send you home if you are displaying or verbalizing any symptoms of COVID or if you disclose you are in active quarantine 

  • If you have any signs of illness which may include runny nose, cough, sore throat, sneezing, fever, upset stomach, etc do not come into the office.  Reschedule your appointment to be online or for a future date.

  • If you have been quarantined and are still in active quarantine (based on most recent CDC guidelines www.cdc.gov/coronavirus) do not come into the office.  Reschedule your appointment for telehealth or a future date after your quarantine has ended

  • We ask all patients to wait in their vehicles until their clinician contacts them to come in for their appointment.  Your clinician will either call, text or walk out to get you for your appointment.

  • The waiting room is current closed.

  • Clients and clinicians are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status

  • North Country Counseling providers maintains safe distancing, please keep a six-foot distance from your providers to ensure their safety as well as your own.

  • Please respect safe distancing protocols. Do not move chairs or sit in areas that are marked do not sit.  

  • Please use hand sanitizer when you enter our offices, also recommended when you leave our office.

  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy rooms and the waiting room.

  • We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the office at specific time intervals.  Please respect the time you are scheduled for session

  • Physical contact is not permitted.

  • Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.

  • Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.

  • We open windows and doors, as feasible, in between sessions to refresh air.

  • We use HEPA air filters to increase filtration of the air and reduce particle matter

  • Signs are posted in the office to remind staff, therapists, and clients of proper handwashing and the proper way to wear a mask. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/how-to-wear-cloth-face-coverings.html

  • There is a designated bin in each office for items to be cleaned/sanitized.  Therapists must clean and sanitize items before reuse of items.  Pens and other items that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.

  • Staff and therapists will take their own temperature and complete screening for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entrance or immediately after entrance.  

  • Clinicians will take temperature of clients upon entrance, if above 100.2 session will not be held that day.

  • Clients will complete COVID screening prior to or upon entrance of appointment.
